[10:16:26] <vikas> all, how to run pacman manually?
[10:16:58] <vikas> currently when i install CM7 after wiping data, it runs pacman at first boot, but what if I want to run it after configuring WiFi?
[10:17:01] <vikas> is that possible?
[10:52:58] <nadlabak> vikas: search market using "pub:Google Inc.", you can install the same apps also without using pacman
[10:53:07] Skrilax_CZ is now known as Skrilax_CZ|Away
[10:57:09] <vikas> nadlabak: actually, on first boot, when I sign in, most of the gapps are restored automatically, but if I skip the step, then I have to re-download everything manually -- so wanted to invoke pacman after I connect to wifi (otherwise my data usage will go through the roof :( )

[11:04:35] <vikas> nadlabak: while you are here, can you also tell me how to put my repo on github ?
[11:05:17] <vikas> I backported some changes from cm7 to cm6 and have it locally on my laptop, which I wnat to preserve...
[11:21:24] -!- KabaLF [KabaLF!~Fernando@c951aa36.virtua.com.br] has joined #milestone-modding
[11:23:04] <KabaLF> vikas: just push it to github. you already have an account there, right?
[11:27:35] <vikas> KabaLF: yes
[11:27:59] <vikas> KabaLF: that easy eh? :)
[11:28:21] <KabaLF> then create the repository you're going to push in github, and push it there
[11:28:25] <KabaLF> yea, kinda
[11:30:46] <KabaLF> actually, since you've been working on cm6, you're better off using the option to fork a repository directly from github, and then push
[11:31:10] <KabaLF> otherwise, you'd have to push the whole subtree you've worked on
[11:31:54] <KabaLF> (instead of only your changes)

[18:08:48] <mioze7ae> [mbm]: Is it possible for sbf_flash set the boot reason before reboot? (unlikely, but just checking)
[18:10:58] <mioze7ae> We seem to have to set boot reason to access fastboot mode (which requires non-soft-brick)
[18:12:00] <mioze7ae> I'm guessing RAMDLD sets the boot reason, though
[18:14:17] <[mbm]> don't think I an acess anyhere outside of flash
[18:14:19] <mioze7ae> So possibly in theory modified RAMDLD could reboot to fastboot, assuming it's possible to tweak RAMDLD.
[18:14:34] <[mbm]> those are signed
[18:14:44] <mioze7ae> Oh, shucks

[20:43:48] <emper0r> ahh ok
[20:44:35] <TheSpiritof69> It just moves some more stuff from /data to /sd-ext iirc
[20:45:26] <emper0r> this cm9 not have the clock to change interactive and that stuff?

[21:45:38] <pontomedon> what exactly does android do when you select "Erase SD card"? just remove everything, make a new fat32 filesystem, recreate the partition?
[21:52:49] milaq|afk is now known as milaq
[22:10:30] <TheSpiritof69> I'd guess just format
[22:11:17] <TheSpiritof69> As far as I know, but I'm not pretty sure on that, if you erase your sd-card eg an ext-Partition still remains accesible

[23:32:13] milaq|afk is now known as milaq
[23:42:10] <k1l> slide out the keyboard works as a workaround :)
[23:46:21] <zewelor> adb shell "sendevent /dev/input/event2 1 107 1"
[23:46:48] <zewelor> @psychuil
[23:48:28] <psychuil> Doesn't work mate
[23:48:35] <zewelor> :\
[23:48:52] <zewelor> strange it worked for my like 2 min ago :\
[23:49:34] <psychuil> Didn't wrok on my G2
[23:49:40] <psychuil> Maybe it's device specific
[23:50:26] <zewelor> oh yes was thinking u wanted to do it on ms :\
[23:51:45] <psychuil> No universal way?
[23:52:29] -!- endstille has quit [Quit: I'll be back.]
[23:53:38] <zewelor> i dont know
[23:53:42] <zewelor> u can try that getevent -p
[23:53:58] <zewelor> to see what events are there
[23:55:10] <psychuil> add device 5: /dev/input/event3
[23:55:10] <psychuil> name: "vision-keypad"
[23:55:10] <psychuil> events:
[23:55:10] <psychuil> SYN (0000): 0000 0001 0005

[23:55:15] <psychuil> Am i looking at the right place?
[23:55:18] <zewelor> the one i wrote cpcap-key and i think it was power button on milestone
[23:55:45] <zewelor> yes but now u would need to figure how to send correct event there :D
[23:56:27] <zewelor> "sendevent /dev/input/event3 1 15 1" for exa,ple
[23:57:06] <zewelor> or maybe "sendevent /dev/input/event3 1 5 14 1"
[23:57:10] <zewelor> not 15 14
[23:58:17] <zewelor> oh i think i see "sendevent /dev/input/event3 5 0 0"
[23:58:19] <zewelor> just try that
[23:59:25] <zewelor> it should simulate slide out keyboard on your phone if it turns on your screen
[23:59:33] <psychuil> How'd you figure that out?
