[07:14:47] <eXtremo> nadlabak_: thanks! Nice to know you're still working on cm7! :) Actually, I hope that you can make cm9 great as cm7. thanks!

[15:20:30] <eXtremo> I'm having an issue while trying to build a cm9 from source. Building CM7 works, but CM9 I don't know why doesn't. This is the error when I type "repo sync":
[15:20:31] <eXtremo> fatal: '../nadlabak/android.git' does not appear to be a git repository
[15:20:31] <eXtremo> fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
[15:20:31] <eXtremo> error: Cannot fetch nadlabak/android
[15:21:23] <eXtremo> Tried both ics and ics-nothemes
[15:45:06] <k1l> just did a repo sync on my old cm9 building machine. works fine here
[15:49:04] <TPoint75_> try cd .repo/manifests/
[15:49:11] <TPoint75_> git reset --hard
[15:49:19] <TPoint75_> cd ../..
[15:49:30] <TPoint75_> and repo init -u bla
[15:49:33] <TPoint75_> repo sync
[16:17:32] <eXtremo> tried it with no success. Same error. It appears when I type "git reset --hard": "HEAD is now at f255194 use wpa_supplicant_6 defy fork"
[16:18:17] <eXtremo> Is it possible to use the same folder (cm4mm, suggested by nadlabak at his website) to build both cm7 and cm9? I'm doing this..
[16:24:03] <zewelor> probably, u would just need to switch branches
[16:24:16] <TPoint75_> i have never tried.
[16:24:47] <TPoint75_> he should do that with repo init -u bla -b ics
[16:27:15] <zewelor> but doesnt repo init only creates repo when its empty ?
[16:27:33] <TPoint75_> ok, he is on branch https://github.com/nadlabak/android/tree/ics
[16:28:54] <TPoint75_> i dont know, but to delete the .repo folder and check out the whole beast is no a solution
[16:29:19] <TPoint75_> i have done this allready many times
[16:29:20] <TPoint75_> :D
[16:29:26] <eXtremo> I'll try this
[16:31:12] <eXtremo> Actually, I think it'd take too long to download everything again. I did create another directory and got the same problem
[16:32:24] <nadlabak> I'm using separate folders for cm7 and cm9 repos
[16:33:23] <nadlabak> I don't know how one could switch multiple project branches using repo command
[16:33:32] <TPoint75_> of course. i have a lot of local git repositories in my sub folders i manag by hand
[16:34:45] <eXtremo> Hmm.. It's strange. I already tried in a different folder and got the same problem
[16:35:48] <TPoint75_> nadlabak: how do you update correctly the default.xml? i copy it to the android sub folder an push it to my forked repository
[16:36:09] <TPoint75_> and then i make a repo init again
[16:39:53] <nadlabak> Tpoint75_: I have the android project synced in a completely separate folder. I switch branches there at will, make changes and push them to origin.
[16:40:12] <nadlabak> then I just do repo sync in either cm7 or cm9 folder
[16:43:15] <TPoint75_> ahh, so you can only compile what you allready have pushed.. and its alltime clean
[16:45:47] <TPoint75_> i try to merge my forked android_frameworks_base to cm ones without breaking something
[16:46:05] <TPoint75_> this git thing isn't easy for a beginner

[22:08:24] <mib_force> Droid 4 getting GSM unlock
[22:08:25] <mib_force> by verizon
[22:08:31] <mib_force> so you can start importing that thing :)
[22:08:51] <Skrilax_CZ> I'll wait for Moto XT898
[22:10:00] <mib_force> yeah, nothing really good last days
[22:10:02] <mib_force> about that phone
[22:10:06] <mib_force> no relase date, nothing

[22:48:15] <nadlabak> I'll make pretty sure that I will be able to boot my freshly compiled kernel without any obstacles on the next phone I purchase ;)
[22:48:51] <nadlabak> that leaves the current D4 out ;)
[22:53:43] <k1l_> too bad hardware keyboards are not welcome any more :/
[23:06:35] -!- mavhc has quit [Excess Flood]
[23:06:55] <nadlabak> k1l_: do you mean HTC? well, if one manufacturer declares that he leaves a market segment (qwerty phones), it's a good news for other manufacturers
[23:08:54] <k1l_> samsung had a qwerty device with nice specs. but it was only released in canada
[23:08:55] -!- mavhc [mavhc!~mavhc@cpc3-basf10-2-0-cust617.12-3.cable.virginmedia.com] has joined #milestone-modding
[23:12:19] <nadlabak> I think that qwerty phones are not yet too small niche market to be ignored. it's obviously not the mainstream, though, that's clear.
[23:24:44] <nadlabak> btw., have you noticed the htc one x sold by at&t (us) being locked again? despite the general 'unlockable bootloader' htc policy...
[23:40:27] -!- Epsylon3 [Epsylon3!~mIRCG@89-158-29-146.rev.dartybox.com] has joined #milestone-modding
[23:41:25] <Skrilax_CZ> nadlabak: well, I'm not surprised, because it's US ... and US people tend to return the phones for warranty with speed of light :)
